Who we are.

A firm born from lived complexity, and built to bring coherence to others.

Frederick Dean was founded to address a simple but profound problem: in the lives of prominent families and individuals, no one owns the whole picture.

Exposure accumulates quietly. It builds across properties, vendors, digital systems, staff, reputations, and relationships. Yet the response is almost always fragmented. A tech consultant handles the devices. A driver knows the schedule. A lawyer reviews a contract. A contractor installs a gate. Each does their job, but no one is tasked with seeing the full ecosystem, much less ensuring it operates securely, coherently, and without interruption.

We created Frederick Dean to solve that. To bring disciplined clarity to complexity. And to act as a stabilizing presence for clients whose lives move fast, touch many, and leave little room for error.

The firm is named after the two men who shaped our founder’s earliest sense of service. Bryce’s grandfathers, Frederick and Dean, were both World War II veterans. Their example of quiet leadership and personal responsibility remains a guiding compass for how we operate today.

After a career spanning luxury hospitality, national security operations, and private client leadership, Bryce returned to his hometown of Naples to start this firm. It wasn’t just a homecoming. It was a decision to build something lasting, in a place that values trust, discretion, and continuity. He partnered with longtime colleague and military peer John Lohrman, whose operational expertise and calm authority formed the perfect complement. Together, they designed a firm that could fill the gap between siloed services and actual security, offering clients not just protection, but coherence.

We don’t approach security as a product. We see it as a living architecture, one that must be tailored, embedded, and maintained with foresight. Our mission is to ensure that our clients’ systems, relationships, and realities function smoothly and securely, even under pressure.

Our vision is to define the field of life continuity and exposure management. To be the trusted resource families turn to when complexity threatens to become chaos, and to do it without drama, disruption, or spectacle.

What we build is not a security plan. It is a cadence of protection and leadership, designed to serve the life, not consume it.
